A Travellerspoint blog

Sunday 29th November

We said our goodbyes to the French Townsend’s and headed off towards the Brittany coast. I haven’t quite figured out why French cars are made with indicators, as they don’t seem to like to use them. Also for a relaxed nation who have two hour lunch breaks, they always seem to be in a hurry on the road. Don’t get me wrong though, driving through the French countryside is a pleasure. Anyway, we arrived late in the day at Gidel, just above Lorient, and by the sea. This was our first sea since Calais, and we had an evening stroll on a very windy beach!
